Lowell School recognized those students who participated in its Sixth Annual Summer Read-a-Thon on Friday, Sept. 16th. The
Read-a-Thon aims to promote positive reading habits at home and maintain literacy skills learned during the school year. Students in grades K thru 3 were encouraged to read at least 20 minutes a day during the summer recess. Their families were asked to record the amount of time spent reading on Read-aThon forms. The first week of school, students returned those forms to share their experiences and achievements with teachers and classmates.
