School Closings

If school is canceled because of inclement weather or other emergency, a “no school” announcement will be broadcast over radio stations WCBS (880 AM) and WINS (1010 AM), television Channels 2 and 4, and on Cablevision Channel 12 by 6:30 a.m. In addition, this information will be available on the district web site at www.teaneckschools.org. A delayed opening also may be announced.

The decision about keeping children home in bad weather (when schools are open) is up to the parent/guardian. If students are absent in such circumstances, teachers will make every effort to help them make up work that has been missed.
