Welcome
Guidance services are provided to all students in grades K through 12 as part of the educational program in each school.
Counselors in the high school focus on assisting students in monitoring their academic progress to attain a high school diploma and aid all students in identifying their options for post-high school vocational and academic planning, facilitate the college application process and collaborate with parents, teachers and administrators in order to foster academic and personal growth. Middle school counselors also provide academic support and help students to learn to make informed decisions and solve problems independently. They assist students in career exploration and awareness and interpersonal skills that support positive relationships and a healthy school climate. The services at the elementary level range from assisting students in their adjustment to school, teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, social skill building and meeting the developmental, social and emotional issues of all students.
