Registration and residency forms are to be completed at the Teaneck Board of Education Administrative Offices at One Merrison Street. Registration Office hours vary by time of year, please call (201) 833-5512 to confirm hours.

 

 

 

The following documents are required at the time of registration:

  

         1.  A current photo ID of parent/guardian, driver's license or passport.  Please visit Div. of Motor Vehicles website

               to update your address.

 

         2.  A current bank statement or vehicle registration showing the family name and Teaneck address.  A current utility

              bill may be provided if bank statement or vehicle registration is not possible.

 

         3.  Proof of Residency: Two are required. Town tax Bill or Deed, Rent/Lease - copy of current lease or Affidavit of Landlord,

               latest utility bill that shows the Teaneck address.
 
         4.  Original Birth Certificate: (Passport can be used to establish official date of birth if birth certificate is not available).

 

         5.  Record of Immunization: New Jersey State Law prohibits students from entering school without a Record 
              of Immunization.

 

Once you have completed the residency forms at Teaneck Board of Education Administrative Offices, you then will have to contact the school to make an appointment and finish the registration process. 2012-2013 Registration Requirements 

Grade K - Bryant:

Kindergarten registration will be from Wednesday March 13, 2013 to Friday, July 26, 2013. Your child must be 5 years of age by October 1, 2013, to be accepted to kindergarten.

     STEP 1: Register at the Board of Education Administrative offices located at One Merrison Street.  Registration

                     Office hours vary by time of year, please call (201) 833-5512 to confirm hours.

 

                      Regular Registration Office hours:

                        Monday     Wednesday      Friday

                              8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
 

     STEP 2: After completing the registration packet, please call Bryant School to make an appointment. You may contact

                    Ms. Henry at (201) 833-3976. Please complete the registration process at Bryant School no later

                    than July 26, 2013. Bring with you the documentation you receive from the Board of Education 

                    Administrative Offices, the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, completed and signed

                   physical examination report.

Grade Pre-K3 & Pre-K4 - Bryant:

Pre-kindergarten for 3 and 4 year olds is not mandated by the state of New Jersey. However, the state recommends that districts should give first consideration to the following populations for Pre-K enrollment: classified students and their siblings, disadvantaged socio-economic students and students of military families. If you do not belong to any of these categories your name will be placed in a lottery for random selection if space is available.

     STEP 1: Application forms will be available on March 13, 2013. You may obtain a form by visiting Bryant School during

                    the school office hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Application forms must be submitted 
                    no later than May 15, 2013.  Please remember your child must be 3 years of age OR 4 years

                    of age by October 1, 2013.

     STEP 2: Notification to parents will be sent by June 18, 2013, in writing, whether or not your child has been accepted into the

                     Pre-K3 or Pre-K4 program.

     STEP 3: Register at the Board of Education Administrative offices located at One Merrison Street.  Registration

Grades 5-8 - Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson:
Registration will begin March 4, 2013. After residency has been established at the Board of Education Administrative Offices, please contact the school’s Guidance Department to schedule an appointment to finish the registration process.
