Overview
T.E.A.M.S., the Technology-Enriched Academy for Mathematics and Science at Teaneck High School, is a special Honors program for motivated students interested in pursuing an integrated study of mathematics, science, computer science, and engineering.
In its inaugural year, 2002-2003, the TEAMS program at Teaneck High School involved 31 freshmen with 4 teachers in a computer-intense study of challenging mathematics, science, and computer science curricula with an emphasis on problem based learning in a personal, supportive environment. Heavy emphasis is placed on the use of graphing calculators (TI-84PlusSE) and computers in the course of study.
The teachers in the program this year ('12-'13) are Mr. Shaun Reilly (Computer Science 9), Ms. Janeth Mesa (Science 9), Mr. Rolando Monserrat (TEAMS Freshman Orientation), Ms. Sharon Bellin (Mathematics 9) , Mr. Ken Zollo (Computer Science 10), Mr. Henry Hali (Science 10), Mr. Jae Kim (Mathematics 10), and Mr. Bob Rosales (English 10). The guidance counselor is Ms. Laurel Friedmann. The Coordinator is Ms. Sharon Bellin. The Supervisor is Ms. Trina Gillet. The Assistant Principal for the Teaneck Academies is Mr. Pete LoGiudice.
All TEAMS courses are Honors courses.
